A tourist visa is issued to foreigners visiting Portugal just as tourists, for purposes like meeting their family, vacationing or sightseeing.
Visa application form duly filled and signed by the applicant.
In the case of minor(s), the form should be signed by both parents.
Two (2) recent photographs of the applicant, with a plain background.
An ordinary passport or other recognized travel document valid for at least three months from the expiry date of the visa applied for.
This document must have at least two empty pages for the visa stamp.
Applicants are required to bring previous passports, if any, and attach them with application copies.
Photocopy of the applicant’s national ID card or valid means of identification.
Third-country nationals residing in Portugal must provide supporting documents attesting to the legality and the authorized duration of their residence.
If the applicant has been refused a visa by an Embassy or High Commission in the last two years, written explanation about the reason for trip and refusal.
For underage children (under 18) travelling with a single parent, a written consent of the other parent is required with a photocopy of their valid ID card.
Supporting documents of personal income such as original bank statements of the last six months, National Tax Number Certificate (NTM) for the previous two years and proof of income tax payment or Last three salary slips.
Accommodation proof (confirmed hotel reservation, rent agreement clearly stating your name, rental period dates and accommodation address) covering the entire period of travel. If the trip is a package tour, attach a detailed itinerary.
Original AND copy of a travel medical insurance policy of not less than 30,000 Euros. The policy must cover medical and hospitalization expenses for the entire period of valid stay in Portugal as well as repatriation costs.

Duly signed and completely filled the visa application form.
Visa application form for minors should be signed by the parent/legal guardian.
A recent passport photograph taken against a white background is required.
Authentic and valid (over 3 months after the date of exit) travel document.
A photocopy of a previous passport and visas are required.
Residence permit if the applicant is not a citizen of Pakistan.
Travel reservation (return ticket) back to Pakistan required.
Travel medical insurance that is valid for the whole duration of stay in Portugal is required.
Economic and work conditions such as work certificate and salary, as well as three last bank transcripts (proof of means of subsistence), covering the entire stay in Portugal and return to Pakistan, is required.
Travel authorization for minors or court decisions.
Hotel reservation or statement of responsibility from the host in Portugal is required.
If staying with a family member, proof of family relationship is required and proof of housing conditions may be requested. If the person signing the term of responsibility is not a Portuguese national, proof of being legally in Portugal is required.
For business purposes, an invitation clarifying on the purpose of traveling and date of arrival and departure, as well as host organization and person responsible.
